You can move files back and forth from your Mac to the SAF file server using either the scp or sftp protocols. You may also use SMB, but ftp is not supported except in the DNA sequencing download area. scp and sftp are available on the command line in OS X.
Alternatively, you may use the program fugu which looks and feels more or less like fetch. fugu runs on Mac OS X 10.1 or later.
