Accessing files from Macintosh using scp/sftp

You can move files back and forth from your Mac to the SAF file server using either the scp or sftp protocols. Just connect to saf.bio.caltech.edu, which has the appropriate SAF fileserver directories already mounted. You may also use SMB, but ftp is not supported except in the DNA sequencing download area. scp and sftp are available on the command line in OS X.

Alternatively, you may use one of these GUI programs: fugu (SFTP,SCTP), filezilla(SFTP)
