A simple example block file. The important parts are the lines that start with the greater than character - these are identifer lines for the sequences. The first star is above the position of the first sequence in the alingmnet which is written VERTICALLY down the page. The second star shows the end of the alignment. Anything else can be written here, except greater than signs and stars.
